Subscription Start Date is not "today" was created by John Kaminski
I recently had an expired subscriber (expired in Dec 2021) renew their subscription. However, instead of getting a 2023 subscription, they got their date extended from Dec 2021 to Dec 2022 - still expired and thus without access to membership perks. We fixed his subscription manually.
Is there an easy way to ensure that anyone who renews AFTER their end date gets a subscription starting on the date they pay?

Hello John
I believe it is beacause you configured the system to have it works like that. Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, set Always use expired date of previous subscription as start date of the renewal subscription config option to No (It's No by default)
After that, monitor the next subscription. It will work well. For existing renewed subscription, you will need to edit the subscription records, correct the date manually
