Grouping Plans was created by Bill Van Vlack

Now, when you add/edit a category, you will see a new setting called Grouping Plans. Set it to Yes will make all plans in the category works as if they are 1 plan only. That mean when someone subscribe for a plan in the category, it will be processed as if it is a renewal of subscriptions of other plans in same category of that user:

- The subscription start date of the subscription will be the latest subscription end date of the latest active subscription
- The system will stop sending reminder to his previous subscriptions of other plans in the category (because these subscriptions were renewed )

We currently have 1,2,3 and 4 year Plans. It sounds like Grouping the Plans will act as if there is a single Plan with different duration options; is that correct?. Some subscribers were renewing early and changing Plans, so we had to adjust the starting date of the new Plan each time. I hope this will solve that.

When the 'Renew' menu item is activated, only the Plans that have current or prior Plans are displayed. How can all available Plans in the Group be displayed on that page?

Hi Bill

That's unfortunately, not possible. The Renew membership page will only display renew options from the plans which current user subscribed. It does not display plans from group membership because these are for new subscription/sign up, not renew

Tuan

Here is the 'short description' I've created for one of the four Plans we offer (1,2,3,4 years) as a way to explain to a renewing member what the renew options are. The menu to access these Plans says "Join/Renew" The renewing subscriber has to understand that 'SIGN UP' means 'renew' if they are selecting a duration different from one they've had in the past and not a 'Join' for a new member. If there is a better way to configure MP to make this clearer, please let us know.

"To JOIN the xxxxxx Club with a One Year Membership and full access to the Club Benefits, select 'SIGN UP'.

To RENEW a previously selected membership term, select 'RENEW'; otherwise, select 'SIGN UP' to renew for a differrent term. "
