In MP there is a facility to create a QR code on a member's card.
This can then be scanned using a MP Menu Item
Is it possible to create a log of the member's cards that have been scanned? We would just need very basic details such as
PLAN NAME
MEMBERSHIP NUMBER
DATE and Time of Scan
The reason for this is that use Membership Pro in Conjunction with Events Booking.
We have events where people have to register so we pick up Member's data there. But we also have events where people do not have to pre book, they just turn up and show their membership card. We would like to automatically record when members join these events. At the moment we have to record these manually.
Kind regards
David

Hi David

There is basic info logged. You can access to Membership Pro, then Tools -> Checkin Logs to see the logged data

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Thanks for that.
Great I can see the database file is prefix_osmembership_checkinlogs
I see there is no option to download those log files, so I assume for the moment if I want to extract those logs for analysis offline, I will have to use something like PHPMyAdmin to achieve this?
Kind regards
David

Hi David

Yes. Unfortunately, there is no option to download the logs yet. So Yes, you will need to do that via PHPMYADMIN for the time being

Hi Tuan,
Just trying to test this feature.
I set it up but when I scan I get message 'NotAllowedError: Permission denied"
underneath Request Camera Permissions.
See screen shot
I am using an Android phone
Normally if you are using an App you have to give it permission to access the camera, but in our case we are using a html link, not an app.
Any ideas?
I can't see anything in the documentation ( membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/frontend-items/qrcode-scanner )

Ah... Found it.
I am using Chrome Browser on my phone.
To give the scanner access to to phone, go to settings in the Chrome Browser, Click Privacy and Security settings then set Camera and you need to specify your site name.
In our case cirenopenair.org.uk
Then is works!
