Hi,

Is it possible to a super user to register a new member and add him to a subscription plan at the same time?
I'm testing on an old copy of a website (Joomla! 3) with an old version 2.21.0 as my subscription to Membership Pro is no more active for a while.

I'm working on a new project where I would like to let only the super user add members from the front-end and register them to a subscription plan at the same time. The form needs to be displayed only to this super user, not to public people.

I have no problem if the new nember subscribes himself, his account is well created in Joomla! users.

Actually, if the super user is connected, he can add a subscriber, but not create a member account for him. The subscriber appears in Membership subscribers as the super user with the same Joomla! account, but other first name and email.

Thanks for your help,
Robert

Sorry Robert. As your subscription was expired more than 2 years ago (from our records, you purchased Membership Pro from 2019), we will have to require you to renew your subscription before we can provide further support

Hope you understand

Regards,

Tuan

Sorry Tuan but it is a pre-sale question.
My previous subscription was for an old project for a client, not for my personal use, so I didn't renew.
In fact, this is a project for another client now, so I won't take out a subscription if this extension doesn't meet our needs.

Regards,
Robert

Hi Robert

I did not know that this is a Pre-sales question. Pre-sales questions should be posted on it's own forum joomdonation.com/forum/questions.html instead

Back to your question, Yes, this is possible. You can use frontend subscriptions management for this purpose. You can add user account and add subscription for the user to the plan at the same time, so it will work

Sorry Tuan for the bad forum choice.

My problem here is that the registration form is not for the public (it's an extranet), so the super user is logged in, and in the old version I'm testing on, when I registered a student, it was the super user's account that was modified to use as registrant, there was no account creation for the new user.
Is it different with recent versions of Membership Pro?

Thank you for your patience!
Best regards,
Robert

You do not do that via subscriptions form but via frontend subscriptions management feature.

Yes Tuan, I want to display the subscription plans page on the frontend only for the super user, not for public nor registered members. I logged as super user in the frontend and tried to register a new user to a plan, but there was no account created in Joomla!, so the member can't log in.
May I use backend to do these registrations?

Robert

- Yes, you can use backend
- But you can use frontend subscriptions management, too. However, as a super user, I would do this using backend. Also, in case you have multiple users you need to add subscriptions, you can use the import feature to implement multiple subscriptions from Excel/CSV file which is faster

Thanks Tuan,

I will inform my client and see if she chooses this solution and if she or I take out a Membership Pro subscription.

Best regards,
Robert
