Moving from Easy Profile to Membership Pro was created by Justin
Good day,
If this question has been asked previously, I apologise for asking, but I was unable to find an answer.
Currently I am using Easy Profiles to manage user profiles on our website, but from all research I have done the plugin is dead an no longer supported.
I am considering using Membership Pro to manage this, as well possibly implementing a subscription based service.
In terms of user profile fields, the one function we are currently relying on is that once a user registers for one of our training packages they are added to a specific user group based on the user group they have been added to new user profile fields are added to there profile, we need to be able to force the users to complete there profile fields, we have found that it is not enough to simply set the fields as required as most users will not go edit their profile after being enrolled in a course, what we need is for Membership pro to auto redirect to the profile page, and force completion before any other page on the website can be accessed.
If it could allow us the ability to login as a user, that would also be useful as we use this when offering support to our learners due to the fact that for some reason some of them find the concept of adding a course to a shopping cart or uploading a ID document to complicated.
We also currently use Easy profiles to do bulk registrations, by uploading a csv file, does Membership Pro have this Capability ?
Basically in summary we need the following.
- Ability to force profile completion
- Ability to do bulk profile creation, and if possible plan enrollment.
- Ability to login as user
- Away to easily migrate existing data from EasyProfile to Membership Pro
Thank you

Hello Justin
1. We do not have force profile completion feature
2. We allow importing subscribers from a CSV/Excel file. So Yes, you can bulk profile creation
3. We do not support login as user. But there is third party extension support this feature.
4. We do not have a migration script. So I guess you will have to find a way to export Easy Profile data to a CSV/Excel file and then use our import feature to import these data into Membership Pro
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Another question on this.
We are in the same position as Justin with Easy Profile.
If we export all the Joomla Users who do not have a membership pro subscription i.e. those with just Joomla access as group 'Registered'. All our membership pro uses get a different group depending on their plan.
Could we them import them into a new Subscription Plan that is say a 'Free' plan. Then set up Membership Pro to include any new users who register on the new 'Free' plan?
