error message for group admins adding members after updating to php 8

Hi, at the weekend I updated the php on my hosting company from 7.4 to 8, but then when my group admins tried to add members to their group they got the following error message:

0
array_merge(): Argument #2 must be of type array, bool given

I knew the only change I'd made was to the php so I changed it back again and group admins are now able to add members again no problem.

Any ideas?  I'm still on Joomla 3.10 and looking to make the change to Joomla 4 soon as all of my other extensions have now caught up.

The extension works well with PHP 8. So there could be something special on your site causes this error

Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and tell us step by step what I need to do to see the error

We are going to check to see what's wrong and get it sorted

Just want to update that this is not a problem with Membership Pro itself but a problem with an override code made on the site. I corrected the override and the error is gone now
