Added fee for expired renewal?

I am wondering if it is possible to charge a late fee penalty for a late membership renewal?

For example:
12 month membership with recurring registration
expiration date is July 1
if the member fails to renew/pay by July 8, $100 (one-time fee, that year only) will be added to the renewal price.

If they pay by the expiration date the next year, no penalty.

Can this be done?

I haven't tested but I think you can try to handle it using Early Renewal Discount setting inside the plan. Normally, it will be used to give subscribers discount if they renew their subscription before their subscription expired

For this, try to set :

- Number Days to -7 days - mean after subscription expired
- Discount Amount to -100 (mean they will be added fee, not discount)

Then check to see if it works
