How does Update Credit Card in User Profile work?

Hi OSTeam and JD users:

I just set up a Membership Pro system with recurring subscriptions plans utilizing Stripe as the payment plugin.  During my testing, I set up the Members Profile area. 

There is a button that says "Update Credit Card."  How does this work as I understand, MP does not store the credit card information.

This is important to understand, as we want to make sure in our policies we are correctly explaining to the customer how this works.

Membership Pro does not store credit card information in the database. When someone wants to update his credit card information, Membership Pro will just pass this updated credit card data to Stripe and next time, when Stripe process recurring payment, it will charge the updated credit card instead of the old credit card number
