Changing Email Address Mid Subscription was created by nate covington
Hi, I have two users who are paying monthly with Membership Pro + Stripe card on file
They want me to change their email address for where the subscription email notifications are sent
I went into stripe dashboard, and Joomla, and updated the email address to the new address
But every month the email from Joomla -> Membership Pro still gets sent to the user's old email address.

How do I actually change the email address for subscription payments into the future? 
Do I need to have them cancel and create a new subscription altogether?

Stripe Support sent me here:
support.stripe.com/questions/create-upda...hedule-subscriptions

We might not be able to change the email address on file? Seems like the "new subscription" might be required?

Hello

I think you can just go to Membership Pro -> Subscriptions, find the subscription records and change email from there

Then next time renewal happens, the system will send notification to the new email address

To confirm, which record do I need to modify?

The first / original record?

The last / most recent record?

ALL of that user's records?

Also, you mention the email field, does that field override the "user" field or do I need to switch the email address field AND the user the record is assigned to?

Better have it updated to all subscription records. Please follow this setup:

1. Go to Membership Pro > Configuration, set Synchronize Email config option to Yes

2. Now, go to Users -> Manage, edit the user record, save it

When you do that, the email from user account will be updated to all subscription records of that user. And everything will be fine
