activation email not sent if user chooses free trial

Tuan,

I am creating a subscription plan for my site ( www.guitar-den.com/ ). I have a few plans set up one being free and a few 3, 6mos or 1 year option

I need the registrant to be added into the joomla core so they can have options to different menus but for some reason the free plan is not sending an activation email. the option is set to yes in the config. however, when the user signs up for the paid plan, the activation email is sent. 

I may need to upgrade, and Im open to that because i want to use your product quite a bit

1. If you are not using latest version, please upgrade to latest version and try again

2. If you are using latest version and still get this error, please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and link to the page which we can subscribe for this plan and see the error. I will check to see why the issue happens and get it corrected for you
