Hello,
We are using Membership Pro to for annual subscriptions.

Our form is somewhat complex - several more fields than just a name/email/password.

We want to make the form less intimidating by showing only a few fields before payment, and then after payment, actively requesting the additional information.

Current Steps:
1. User supplies an email address, their name, and creates a password, and supplies address information for billing and shipping.
2. User agrees to the site terms, then pays via PayPal.
3. User receives their confirmation email, clicks the link to activate their account.
4. Currently, the activation link takes the user to our login form.  After signing in, then they go to the main page for Registered Active Users.

What we want to do:
1. Show a short sign up form with PayPal (hiding address fields from the public form).
2. The user signs up, pays via Paypal, gets their activation link email and clicks the link.
3. The user is now directed to a Profile page (instead of the main logged-in user page) where they are asked to complete their Profile before starting to use the site.

Question:  Can we set up the activation process so that when the new paid user signs in for the first time, they are taken to their Profile page?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello

That's controlled by Joomla. When you setup a menu item to allow users to login, there is a parameter called Login Redirect. Set it to the User Profile menu item and users will be redirected to that page after login

However, it will be for every login, not the page login. I guess there is third party extension allow redirect on first login, maybe you can try to search for that kind of plugin in JED ?

Regards,

Tuan
