Custom paid fields / Trial period was created by Stephan Römer
Hi everybody!
Is there a way to use a custom paid field for changing price and period of the subscription without changing price of the trial period.
I want to set up a subscription plan with a 14 day trial period which is free. With a custom paid field I want to give the user the choice to select the length of the subscription (1 month, 3 month etc.) and automatically change the price of the subscription depending on the selected length. I use to field "fee values" to add a certain value to each subscription period. This is working fine for the final price of the subscription, but it also adds the value to the free trial period.
Is there a way to change subscription price without changing trial period price?
Thanks and best regards,
Stephan

Hi Stephan
Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, find Custom Fee Behavior config option, set it to Recurring Payment Only and it should work as expected

Tuan

While working on this I noticed that if you change the subscription length in the frontend, amount, taxes and so on are being calculated correct. But the length displayed via placeholder [REGULAR_DURATION] does not change. It always shows the length which is set up in plan manager regardless what you select in the custom field.

Sorry but for recurring plans, you cannot change recurring duration using a custom field. For this case, I think you will have to create different plans, each plan for a subscription length duration
