"Populate Data From Previous Subscription" setting do not work as expected

I am currently adding and testing new plans.
I have published the plugin Membership Pro - Easy Profile plugin, and I am using Field Mapping option.

When upgrading from Plan A to Plan B, I noticed that some custom fields were empty. These empty fields have the Populate Data From Previous Subscription setting set to Yes.

After investigating the cause, it was common for empty fields that Field Mapping was not set.

If there is no setting target in Field Mapping, is it normal that the data is not inherited even if the Populate Data From Previous Subscription setting is set to Yes?

The root of the problem is that I don't have a Field Mapping target, so I decided to have a corresponding item on the Easy Profile side.
