Activation Emails was created by Paul
Hello Tuan
I have been having problems with delayed emails whilst still testing the system. There could be a number of reasons for this but one is that we have been blacklisted by Backscatter due to the number of bounced emails. We have about 10% of our members who do not have email accounts and so I have created unique dummy emails for them. When they are imported they will create activation emails. I will probably have to import them as a batch on their own. I am not able to turn off the activation email that will send them the URL to log into together with their password and user name. Is it possible to turn off all emails for this subset? If we can't do this I will need to find a totally different way of managing them.
Thank you
Good wishes

Hi Paul
In Global Configuration of Joomla, Mail Settings section, there is a setting to allow disable emails from the whole Joomla site. I think before running this import, you can disable email from Joomla to prevent any emails from being sent, then after importing, you can enable it again
Please give it a try
