Upgraded Recurring Subscription expires

Hi,

I was testing the upgrade of a recurring subscription to another recurring subscription plan. And wondering why after the upgrade, the new subscription expires on its end date, instead of renewing automatically since it is a recurring plan.

EXPECTED: after the upgrade, the plan will automatically renew every 2 days
ACTUAL: after the upgrade, the plan stops and expire after 2 days

I used the prorated: Keep Duration. So I'm expecting the new plan will expire on the end date of the previous plan and renew itself automatically. And I understand that in the process, the previous plan will be cancelled and subscribe to the new plan, but it should at least renew itself automatically.

I already read some post here, and found that it is possible for a recurring to upgrade to another recurring plans. Or is it not the case since I'm using PayPal as payment processor?

Am I missing something on the setup? please see the screenshots attached

The upgrade feature (especially with prorated) only works for onetime subscription plan at the moment

Upgrade is a complicated process, so upgrade from a recurring subscription plan to another recurring subscription plan is not well supported and not recommended at the moment, sorry
