Import new membership list was created by Paul
Hello Tuan
I am ready to import our database into Membership Pro and a trial run with a small sample of data has gone well. I now need to import the entire database but I have a few issues that I cannot resolve and I would appreciate your help and advice please.
1. The current database does not contain a user name or password. I understand that if the user name field is empty then a password will not be generated. My first question is how do I give each of them a user name?
2. I need to send e-mails to each member informing them of their User Name and Password. Is there a way of doing this that conforms to GDPR?
Thank you as ever
Paul

Hi Paul
1. How about adding email to username column?
2. That should be sent by Joomla when user account is created during the import. Not sure how it is related to GDPR.
However, keep in mind that most hosting providers limit number of emails could be sent per hours. So if you are having too many members, maybe you should import small set of subscribers at a time (for example, 100 or even 50 first subscribers, then next hour another 50 and so on...)
