Admin emails not being sent

Hi team,
I'm trying to configure membership pro so that whenever a new member subscribes, an admin is sent a notification of this.
I've tried a few things so far to get this to work, but with no luck:
- Membership pro -> config -> Notification emails - I've tried 3 different emails here, none work
- Log emails is turned on
- Subscription plans - I've tried both no emails and emails in the "notification emails" setting within each plan, none work
- I've tried both PHP mailer and SMTP mailer - both have been tested with two emails and both work fine with the test mail
What's weird is that renewal and approval emails come through automatically, but the new subscription emails don't.
Also, when I "resend email" of a new sub, the email comes up in the logs, it just doesn't come through automatically.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hello Lisa
Do you see emails logged? If the emails logged and you do not receive it, you will need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to check it for you
If no email is logged, then there is a problem with Membership Pro. In that case, please submit a support ticket so that we can check it further

Was there a resolution for this?
In our case no emails were logged, no Joomla user, no Membership PRO subscriber showed up, but we got a Paypal notice using the language for the Plan name that matches the text on other payments:
Payment for PDF Annual membership (Note - we changed the terminology in Translations/Emails & Messages from subscriber to member and subscription to membership).
We got another subscription right around the same time and everything worked for that one - the email to the admin, to the subscriber and the paypal email.

Hello Darlene
So it worked for one subscription but not for others? If so, I'm afraid of that is a problem with PayPal at that time. Please monitor the system to see if the issue happens again with the next subscriptions

Will monitor it - got a registration this morning that was fine.
This is a little disconcerting to see no record at all in Membership Pro of the registration. Is this the sequence things should happen in - see next.
1. See the Joomla registration. (looking at the timestamp)
2. See the MPro registration. (looking at the timestamp)
3. See the paypal transaction email and timestamp (I know this is not through Membership Pro).
4. See the email to admin and to the new user OR
if Paypal doesn't communicate properly, shouldn't I see the registration left as pending and the Joomla registration as disabled and not activated.
Guess what I'm wondering is if there should be some evidence of the registration in Joomla/Membership Pro?
Just trying to understand how all this works and in what order. Not being skeptical of what you said.

Hello
The record is stored in database, it is just not being displayed by default (because Membership Pro thinks that the subscriber does not make payment)
You can go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, set Show Incomplete Payment Subscriptions config option to Yes and you will see the pending subscription

We have Show Incomplete Payment Subscriptions set to Yes and there is nothing there. I also looked directly in the database last night and there was no sign of it there either.
We did test the Pending Subscriptions before going live by cancelling out of Paypal Sandbox and then seeing the pending subscriptions and then requesting payment which worked nicely.
In the meantime, we have done more digging and this is what we know so far:
Person #1 ended up with the subscription in the database.
Person #2 ended up with the Paypal transaction.
Person #1 has Person #2's Paypal transaction number in their subscription.
So effectively Person #2 paid for Person #1's subscription.
No sign of Person #2 in the actual MariaDB database behind the scenes.
No sign of Person #1 in Paypal.
Email logs only show for Person #1.
We are contacting both people to see what they did with respect to where they started the process in the website; did they fill out the subscription info; did they go to Paypal; did that complete properly; what emails did they see.

If Person 2 paid for person 1 subscription, then only Person 1 has a subscription record and received notification is expected behavior. The system know nothing about person 2, I'm afraid of
