user not getting subscription email

Hello

I'm testing membership pro and I can't get a notification of a subscription.

I am importing users from an old paper based system. I want them to get a mail saying they have an account, log in here to see info about subscription. All of the subscriptions are already running and will run out on the same date. So this is not a new subscription.

The test is I create a new member in MP, this generates a new member in Joomla which fires out an email (that I don't want to be fired out tbh) but I would like to generate an email that sends the user a mail saying you are a subscribed member, log in here and see your membership content. Is this because MP isn't designed to do this? I'm happy to rely on the exisiting Joomla mail which once they've all been added, I can revert back to the boiler plate text. but if there is a way of doing this in MP, then I would like to do that, though I understand it is not possible to generate mails for individuals in MP.

1. The email sent when a user account created is sent by Joomla. If you don't want that email sent, go to Extensions -> Plugins, find the plugin User - Joomla!, click on it to edit, set Notification Mail to User parameter to No and the email won't be sent

2. Membership Pro does not send email when subscription is imported. The reason is because usually, you import many subscription records at a time and if the system send email, the process will be timed out. You can use this workaround:

- Import subscriptions
- Then go to Membership Pro -> Subscriptions, check on the checkbox next to these records, press Re-send Emails button in the toolbar. When you do that, email will be re-sent as if they subscribe for the plan from frontend of your site
