Proration Amount for Recurring was created by Kelly Turner
Hi Tuan,
I'm sorry I have so many questions. I love Membership Pro so far, but I am trying to understand proration. I will use your example for "By Price" proration here:
membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/basic-...lans/upgrade-options
"For example, if his original subscription has subscription length 30 days, the price is 30$ and he has 10 days left, then he will have 10$ left from his original subscription. If the upgrade option costs 50$, he will only have to pay 40$ (50$ - 10$) when perform upgrade."
I understand that he will only pay $40 when he upgrades, but what if he is upgrading to a recurring subscription? Does he pay $40 each subsequent time, or does he pay $40 the first time and then $50 (full price) each subsequent time? I tested this with PayPal Sandbox, and it seemed that he would only pay $40 each time, which doesn't seem correct to me.
Thank you

Hi Kelly
As of right now, the system does not handle Proration very well for recurring subscription (the feature was developed, mainly for one time subscription)
I will look at it to see if it can be improved to work like that. However, for now, I'm afraid of it is not possible
Regards,
Tuan

Okay, thank you for clarifying that. In the meantime I will turn proration off on my site then, because most of my subscription options are recurring.
