Updating User Profile was created by Kelly Turner
Question: On my site, when a user visits the OSM 'User Profile' page, makes NO changes to the profile, and submits the form, the site behaves as if changes have been made (e.g., sends an email to the admin, etc.). Does the logic not validate whether any data has been changed on the user's profile? Or is my site not working correctly?

Hello Kelly
If they press Save button, then Yes, the behavior should be the same
Look like you don't want the email sent?

The emails don't bother me. I know I could disable the email if I wanted to. It just seems like the form should validate that changes have been made before submitting and showing the message to the user "You have successfully updated your profile" when the user really hasn't updated anything. Maybe you could add this to the wish list. Thanks.

Ah, if so, I don't think there is a big problem. If users press update button, they will see that message is expected behavior (you can try to edit a Joomla article for example, and press Save button, you would see same behavior)
For now, I guess we can just leave it as how it is

Hello
For any email in Membership Pro, if you want to disable the email, just go to Membership Pro -> Emails & Messages, find the subject of that email and empty it
Regards,
Tuan
