Cancelling Recurring Subscriptions was created by Kelly Turner
Hi,
I'm working on setting Membership Pro up on my website. Do I understand correctly that Paypal plugin included with Membership Pro DOES NOT allow subscribers to cancel their recurring subscription from their User Profile, but the Paypal Pro plugin DOES allow this?
If so, why does the free/included Paypal plugin say this in the "Advanced" section? (see attached)
Thanks,
KT

Hello
If you enter Advanced Parameters, subscribers will be allowed to cancel their recurring subscriptions from their user profile (the documentation is outdated, this option was added to PayPal recently and I forgot to update documentation)

Thank you, Tuan. I see the "Cancel Subscription" button now. I tried to cancel a subscription (PayPal Sandbox) using the button, but I am getting the following error message back:
Security header is not valid
The Sandbox API User, Password, and Signature I entered in the Advanced parameters are all verified. I copied them directly out of my Paypal Sandbox account.
What am I doing wrong?

Nevermind. I just figured it out. I had a typo in the Username.

The cancel from profile is working. But after it's cancelled the status of the membership button is still showing "cancel" as an option. Should that just go away if the membership has already been cancelled? Can you assist? View attached image.

I got that error because I had a type in the "API Username" field. I had put an "@" symbol in there (like an email address) instead of a "."

Maybe it was because the previous issue with the parameters? Could you lease try to use new user account, subscribe for the recurring plan, then cancel the subscription to see if it is working as expected?
