Plan configured for site registration only was created by Bill Van Vlack
On our site, we open up some features for anyone who registers on the site, and then additional features when they subscribe to a plan. We would like to create a Plan that just subscribes to the site, but does not add the user to the Membership Pro database. Is this possible to configure?

Hello
No, it is not possible. If you create a plan in Membership Pro to allow users to sign up, there will be a subscription record added to Membership Pro database when someone subscribe for that plan
I don't know what is the problem with that behavior?

We don't want to duplicate the Joomla user database with the MP database, but since we only open up certain features of the site to users that are registered, guests are confused between signing up for an account vs subscribing to a Plan.

Hello Derrick
If you want, you can still use Joomla users registration for fee registration while only use Membership Pro to handle paid subscriptions on your site

I created I free Plan called "Site Register" that is set to register Joomla group only, and at Joomla login people automatically sign up to this group (Site Register Group). That way i can filter everyone that just made a register and didn't payed for a plan

I tried Ricardo's suggestion, but am stuck on the subscription form. We don't need or want to burden a site visitor with providing all of the information we have set up for paying Club members, but there doesn't seem to be a way to set up different forms for each Plan.
Edit: I just discovered how that is done. It's right at the top of each Form field. I think I will be able to make this work.

Yes Derrick. You can select plans you want for each custom field, so basically, you can have different form for different plan and that should address your concern
