trying to figure out Grace Period was created by Karen Griffin
Hi-
Sorry about the exclamation point, but I just realized a day or two before going live I may not be understanding something critical about Membership Pro.
I have seen multiple explanations for the Grace Period option and I am not sure which one is actually correct. Say I have a 1 year membership that has a fixed expiration date of December 31 every year. Is the Grace period:
1. The number of days BEFORE the fixed expiration that people can sign up for a subscription and have it expire the following year
2. The number of days FOLLOWING the fixed expiration date that people have to renew their membership before their membership is considered truly expired.
3. The number of days before the fixed expiration within which the membership cost is prorated to reflect a shortened membership due to the fixed expiration date.
I have seen all three listed as the purpose of the Grace Period. Which one is correct? I can see #1 and #2 working in tandem with each other, but I have no idea if that is the case. I just want to make sure I understand this correctly so I use it correctly.
Happy New Year, btw!
