Renewal process with PayPal is deleting data

I have a strange one.
When members are renewing a subscription using the PayPal plugin system, several but not all of the custom fields are blanked, (data is deleted). There is no problem if the membership is renewed manually with off line payments.
I only have PayPal as an online payment method.
Some time ago you provided a special feature to fill a field when renewal takes place. This continues to work of offline payments, but not for PayPal.

Any thoughts please?

Maybe it is because these fields have Hide On Membership Renewal parameter set to Yes?

If so go to Extensions -> Plugins, find the plugin System - Membership Pro, click on it to edit. Set Copy Hide On Membership Renewal Fields Data parameter to Yes

Then monitor the next renewal. Data should not be lost

Could you please submit a support ticket sending us:

1. Super admin account of the site

2. Tell me ID of the renewal subscription record which has data lost

3. Tell me the custom field (give me name or ID of the field) which data is lost

I will then check to see why the error happens and get it sorted
