New users are not being activated / published

Hello,
In the past few weeks the new memberships to my site, both paid and free, have been showing as "pending" after they've signed up. I have always required free memberships to require admin approval, but the paid memberships have not previously required approval.
I've been using Membership Pro for years now, and I do not recall making any changes to the configuration of Membership Pro or to Joomla's user settings prior to this change occurring.

I made a test user, and subscribed them to a paid plan, going through paypal and paying, and returning from paypal to the site. After return to the site, I could not log in with the test user.

If I "publish" the new user, the account works as expected. It can then log in, is assigned to the correct user groups, can view its memberships, and can cancel its paypal recurring membership.

I'm not sure what would have caused this change in Membership Pro's behavior for new users.
How can I solve this?

Hi Ari

The problem here is that for some reasons, the subscription record is not changed to Active after payment is completed.

For this, please submit a support ticket so that we can guide you to check it further
