Members with expired subscription cannot access the User Profile menu item

Hello,
We have been using the "User Profile" menu item to allow members to manage their membership (renew, upgrade, etc).
Menu item type: User Profile
Link: index.php?option=com_osmembership&view=profile
Access is set to: Registered

However, members with expired memberships get the message: "You do not have an active memership, so you could not access this page" (sic, it also misspells "membership," FWIW).
That means they cannot renew or upgrade their memberships.

Our set up is that when a user registers for the site with a subscription through Membership Pro, they get added to the "registered" and "subscribers" groups. When their membership expires, they get removed from the "subscribers" group (and so are still in "registered").
If I make a test user account, put it only in the "registered" group, and browse to the above page, I see the same error.

How can we fix this?

Hi Ari

If someone subscribed for your plan before, he should be able to access to that page without any problem

You can submit a support ticket sending us:

- Super admin account
- The expired subscriber account
- Link to the page

I will check to see why he could not access to that page and guide you to correct it
