Adjusted files overwrite was created by EllyZ
Hi Tuan,
How is the behavior of the adjusted files we have in the theme when there is an update for these files and they are only placed in Membership_pro?
We have a few files with adjustments for MembershipPro&EventBooking in templates.theme/com_osmembership and com_eventebooking.
DucNV and you did but when there is a new update and these files have other code, how does these files do the job?
The files in the theme dominate the same files in the specific Components, is that correct?
Regards,
Elly

Hi Elly
In short, that's override, so the files will always be used. So Yes, if there are new code added on the original files, these code won't be available on your site (because the code from the override files will be used). That's how template override works in Joomla

Hi Tuan,
Thank you!
Yes, I know adjusted code in the theme mostly work this way.
I asked this because we are new in Joomla, we are coming from years working with Drupal, we left Drupal now and Joomla is great and Drupal not anymore.
Do you think the adjusted code will give problems in the future?
Regards,
Elly

Hi Elly
It should not cause any problem in any near future (at least until we release new major releases of the extension : Events Booking version 4 or Membership Pro version 3) - which is not very soon anyway
In the future, if we release new major release of the extensions and you got any issue, just ask and we will be happy to assist
