Hi,

We have been setting subscription plans and testing it using PayPal sandbox for paid contents on our website, and some of the subscription plans are recurring.

I've notice that one time payment gives you option of using credit card on PayPal, but on recurring subscriptions no credit card option, instead it asks you to create an account on PayPal.

We would like users to use credit cards as another option for Paying subscriptions, and we don't like to create another account for Authorize.net. Is this something I would look on PayPal or there is a solution on your side?

Thanks,
Dhon

Hello

That's handled by PayPal, so if you want, you will need to contact PayPal and ask them about it.

If you need credit card payment option, may I suggest you to use Stripe? It's the best payment gateway out there to me

Hi Tuan,

Thank you for the answer.

I already solved this problem, after research and reading on FAQs & forum on PayPal.

Users can still pay as guest with their credit card, after redirected to the PayPal website, by clicking create an account. There users have the option of creating a PayPal account or just pay as guest.

On the other hand, the billing details, first name, last name and email address should be fill-out automatically on pay as guest in PayPal form. As users already fill-in it on the subscription form. We don't want users to do it twice.

I noticed that in one-time payment this works after you clicked 'pay with card'. But for recurring subscriptions, users have to fill-in again all their info.

What should we do to solve this?

Thanks,
Dhon

Hi Dhon

Again, this is handled by PayPal and we could not control that. If you look at the code of PayPal payment plugin, you will see that we already pass that data (that's the reason for onetime subscription, it's pre-filled)

Regards,

Tuan
