Registration email with login--URL breaks was created by EllyZ
Hi Tuan,
We edit the registration email from Memebership Pro and add the URL of a webpage with only the login-window in the body.
But the URL is stripped: the " domainname.com/subdir " disappeared.
Only available in the mail is this link: "index.php/component/users/?view=login&Itemid=101"
We would like to do this to make things easy for the customer.
Do you know how to solve this issue?
Thank you,
Elly

Hello Elly
It is controlled by the editor plugin which you are using (for example, Tiny MCE)
Go to Extensions -> Plugins, find the editor plugin which you are using on your site. There is a parameter called Link Type. By default, it's Relative and that's the reason domain is stripped.
Please change that parameter to Absolute.
Then edit the message, save it again. The domain will be saved and the issue won't happen anymore

Hi Tuan,
Thank you for the support!
I changed the setting of tiny MCE to absolute and it seems to work but a few days later I tried again and now it's again relative.
Is it something to do with MAIL-settings?
The absolute URL breaks down to relative while the editor setting is "absolute" and Mail-text in Membership Pro is a absolute path.
I did a check in mailsetting sto plain-txt and the absolute link has changed to a relative path.
So the link of the inlogpage in the mail gives a "server not found".
Do you have any idea to solve this issue?
Regards, Elly

Is it possible to disable the rich-text-editor and only have plain text for the email&messages in Membership Pro?

Hi Tuan,
I think I found the problem.
TInyMCE has 3 profiles for different user-groups.
I changed the URL only for public and not for the profile Super User.
So I'll hope this did the trick.
To be continued.
Regards,
Elly
