Bug or something I miss? was created by Vincenzo
Hi Dear,

I've just saw that a user upgraded a plan and the system doesn't calculate the new expiration date.

Settings was:

• A free plan (lifetime)
• Upgrade option from this free plan to a monthly recurring plan

User subscribed to the free plan in 7 Oct 2019. Then upgrade to monthly recurring plan today (7 Oct 2020), but the system set the expiration day at 7 Nov 2019 (1 month later respect to 7 Oct 2019 and not 7 Oct 2020).

Any insight?

Hello

Normally, when users upgrade from A to Plan B:

- The subscription for plan A will be marked as expired
- The subscription end date of plan A will be set to the date which users perform upgrade
- Users will have active subscription of Plan B

That's how it should work. Exactly what's wrong in your case?

I edit the example above, I upgraded the date (there was a mistake).

Example is from a real example in our website.

For clarity, here I repeat was happened:

• user subscribes to free plan 7 Oct 2019
• user upgrades to monthly recurring plan 7 Oct 2020 (pure coincidence that user upgrades the same day!)
• monthly recurring plan started from the past (7 Oct 2019) and expired in the past (7 Nov 2019)

(Instead, this is what should have happend: new subscription from 7 Oct 2020 to 7 Nov 2020)

Hello

This is strange to me. The start date of the upgrade subscription should be today date unless there is something special causing the issue

You can submit a support ticket sending us:

- Super admin account
- Tell me ID of the upgrade subscription record and ID of the original subscription record

I will try to check to see what's the reason causing the error and guide you to correct it
