show plans for public but subscribe only if already member of one specific plan

Hi,

I have customers paying for a "start and try" plan to get to know the benefits and options and learn how to make use of the service. This plan is mandatory before subscribing to any other plan.

I want to show all offered plans in the frontend to the public so they know what to expect - but I want them to get a message like: "you need to subscribe to plan X first" when trying to subscribe to any of the advanced plans (like I can with Events Booking where I can manage which usergroups can see or book an event).

I cannot make this work with Membership Pro other than copy all information from plan descriptions and put it in an article - which is annoying when you have to make all changes twice.

Am I missing some settings? Do you have ideas how to make this happen?

Unfortunately, there is no way to handle it in Membership Pro at the moment. As of right now, as soon as the plan is published, anyone can subscribe for it

Can I add this to the feature wish list? I really was surprised to find out it is not possible with ACL
