How to set up this upgrade plan ? was created by Corine
Hi,
We have the current situation.
We have a membership that can be renewed every 1st of january of the new year.
We have two versions of this membership, 1 for students, for lets say 10€ and 1 for regulars for 20€.
Students can be students for more than 1 year.
So somewhere in a year that a student is a member, he is no longer a student because he passes his exam.
So now we want him to upgrade to the regular plan - for the next year.
We do not need to change anything to the plan for the remainder of the year, he does not have to pay a difference for the remainder of that year. But the upgrade should start in the new year.
I have tried this setup:
plan A - students - price 10€. Expiry date 31-12-2020. Subscription length 1 year. Enable renewal YES
plan B - regular - price 20€. Expiry date 31-12-2020. Subscription length 1 year. Enable renewal YES
then in plan A I enabled an upgrade to plan B, price 20, prorated by time.
I was expecting the price to be for the new year. Instead it seems to "cost" 20 for the remaining part of this current year.
Should I have set the price to zero?
Regards
Corine
