Let user activate membership was created by Justin Forga
We are using Membership Pro for a gaming environment. So the users get access to a database for a game. But for this game we also send some things with actual post. This can take up to a few days. If the users don't have this, but the membership already started, they lose a few days of the access due to the postal delay. Is there any way that we can let our useres activate the account when (only if its' payd for) and not activate it when the payment is received so they can start the game when they actualy have the package?
Thanks in advance.
Justin

Hi Justin
I don't really understand your question. So you don't want to activate user account as soon as payment is received? You want to activate the user account manually when you want only?

Hi Tuan,
I want the user to be able to activate the membership at the moment they have received the postal package.
Right now the account is activated and also the membership starts at the moment the payment is done. If this is a membership for a week and the postal package takes a week, the membership is already expired at the time they receive the package.
So is it possible to activate the account on payment, but let the user activate the membership at the moment they want to start with the actual game?
Regards,
Justin

Hi Justin
Unfortunately, it's not possible. Users could not decide when they want to start the membership, the membership will be started as soon as users completed payment for their subscription

Thanks for the reply. I was just thinking. Isn't it possible that the user receives an e-mail with a link to activate the account and we can use that as a way they activate the membership? Or is the membership already activated and it doesn't matter that the account is later activated?

Justin

Hi Justin
Yes. The Membership is already activated as soon as payment completed. It does not depend on the user account status

This question has already been asked. The topic is almost 5 months old, so why the question again?
We use the system for access to a game. The access is for a week. When the user buys the access, but wants to start playing the next week, the access has already expired. We would like users to be able to buy the access, but decide for themselves when they want to activate it and start the game.
