What to expect from "Use e-mail as username"

Hi Dear,

in Membership Pro Configuration there is this option:

"Use email as username"

with tooltip that explain:

"If set to Yes, the system will use subscriber's email as username so that they can use email to login into your site (Only possible with subscribers sign up via Membership Pro)"

I ask what to expect if I have activated the User - Membership Pro Plugin - So the user that subscribe via Joomla, is subscribed also to a free plan.

The "user flow" should be:

- User subscribe via Joomla (say email user @ user . com)
- User is auto subscribed to a free plan in Membership pro ('cause is activated User - Membership Pro Plugin)

What's the username now? Email or username used in Joomla registration process?

In this case, users is registered via Joomla, so the username will just be username which he entered during registration, not email

That setting only works if users is entered via Membership Pro. In this case, they will be asked to enter email for username and then email will be used as username for their account
