Downgrading a subscription

What is the best way to downgrade a subscription if the member no longer wants the upgraded version? This would only happen at renewal season ie in the same way they could renew or upgrade there membership, is there a way to offer a renew or downgrade?

Last year people had the choice of a regular membership, or could upgrade to membership plus. This year when they go to renew, will the membership plus people see an option to go back to just regular membership?

I haven't tried but maybe you could setup an upgrade option to allow upgrade from membership plus to regular membership to see if it works?
