There are no renew option available for your membership

Membership Pro version 2.17.2, Joomla 3.9.11, PHP 7.3.8

I am getting the message "There are no renew option available for your membership" even though I have set up renew options.

Are renew options only shown on the last day of the subscription?
Or is there some other explanation?

For this, better submit a support ticket sending us;

1. Super admin account of your site

2. The subscriber account

3. Link to the page which renew options should be displayed

We will check and tell you the reasons of the error so that you can correct it

I think I may have figured it out.
If "Recurring subscription" is set to Yes, does that mean there is no renew option - because it will renew automatically via Paypal?

Yes. That's correct. If you have Recurring Subscription set to Yes, PayPal will charge users and have subscription renewed automatically

No manual renewal is needed, so there will be no renew options displayed
