Username in Approal Email was created by Andrew Costly
I am stuck using Membership Pro 1.7 with Joomla 2.5 until my client approves an update.
I have been unable to get the username in the subscription approval email. I searched the forum but found no definitive answer.
Please help.

Hi Andrew
I could not remember about that very outdated version of Membership Pro
However, maybe you should go to Membership Pro -> Emails & Messages, find that email message and insert [USERNAME] tag to see whether it works (in latest version, it will be replaced with username of the approving subscriber)
Regards,
Tuan

When the tag [REGISTRATION _DETAILS] is used, the username is placed in the email. But, when I use [USERNAME] in the email configuration, it does not work.
I wish I could update Joomla and Membership Pro, but it's for a local government agency, and it takes a long time for the approval process.
Since username is a joomla field, is there a way to force placement of the field in the email? Since the [USERNAME] does not accomplish this.

Hi Andrew
You would have to edit code to add support for that tag. Look at the file components/com_osmembership/helper/helper.php, find the method buildTags, customize it to support the new tag
It should not be a hard work

The username tag is functioning and it appears in the email now.
For a few users, somehow the username field is empty when I checked the osm_subscribers table in the database. For those users, the username tag does not work -- I guess the information was not syn.
Can the syn be performed again to include the missing username?

Hello Andrew
Do you have a clear step by step what we need to do to see the username tag issue? If I can see the issue myself, I will be happy to check it

Tuan
