Paypal IPN verification setting?

In the docs at membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/troubl...on-postback-to-https
it says that there is a Paypal plugin option to "Use new PayPal IPN verification". I have the latest version 2.17.2, but I do not see this verification option.

Is this now the default (since Paypal requires it), so it is no longer an option (because it is always turned on)?

Yes. You are correct. PayPal now requires it, so it's always On and cannot be turned off. Don't worry about that
