Number of coupons allowed

Just to confirm, does Max Subscription Settings (Enter number of subscriptions you want to allow for this plan. Leave it empty means un-limited) mean setting a limit to the number of coupons a subscriber can have for the duration of his plan?

It limits number of subscriptions (mean how many users can subscribe for that plan). It's not related to coupons here
