Plan Calculation / renew - Upgrade was created by kpg
Hello Tuan,
As discussed I post my Question within the Forum.
We need an additional setup for the Upgrade-Function on the Membership Pro.
Example.
Setup: Original Plans have a duration of 1 Year. And you can't Buy a Plan A+ or B+ or A++ and so on from the beginning. You can Only Buy a Plan A, B, C, D and upgrade from A to A+, A++, A+++ or to B,C,D
If you bought the Plan A (100$) and want to upgrade to Plan A+ Which is +50$ then you will pay at the end 150$
The A+ has so a total Price of 150$.
With the Prorated from Upgade Plan you will have now following issue. The Keep
If the user is buying a Plan A and we would set up the Plan A+ to 50$ then he would pay only 50$ for the next year.
If we set the A+ to be 150$ which will be the correct price at the end if he renews the Plan after a year then he will have payd 100 too much. As he paid 100 (Plan A) + 150 (Plan A+)
If the user is renewing the Plan A during the year and then upgrades to A+ we have the same issue.
So idealy we should have a calculation regading the setup Price which can be added on Upgrade-Options But with some additonal Rules.
Rule 1. If the user hase updates his plan (renew) to extend it to 2 Years the "Price" should be coreected to the duration
Rule 2. If the User is buying an Upgrade he will pay the ammount regarind Rule 1. But if he updates (Renews) the Plan it should use the Price if the Upgraded Plan. For Example 150$ for A+.
An addtional suggestion would be, that the price of an upgrade would also be based on the time.
So if we have a "Keep Duration" and the user is upgrading in the middle of the Year (after 6 Month) to A+ he would have to pay only the half of the 50$ that a full year would cost for the upgrade to the A+.
And on the renewal he would have to pay the "normal" A+ Price (150$)
For example:
User is buying A and renews it to 2 Years. So he pays 200$. After a half year he upgrades to A+ So he to Pay 75$ additionaly.
Hope my thoughts are ok described.
Thanks for the quick respond.
Regards
Tobi
