Desactivate e-mail notification.

Hello,

We have to import a large list of member, and we do not want notifications to be sent.
Is it possible to stop temporarly the e-mail notification sent to member and admin, please?

You can go to System -> Global Configuration, look at Server tab, Mail Settings
section, set Send Mail to No and the system will stop sending emails for your whole site

Once import is done, you can set it back to Yes

Ok thanks, it will make the job

For later, it may be cool to be able to disable the mail in the membership only.
As other applications, may still need to send mails (Eventbooking, Joomla Registration etc).

It is just a short time, so I think disable it global should be OK

Please note that during subscription import,the system might need to create user account for subscriber and when that happens, Joomla! will send new user account notification email to user and that's not email from Membership Pro

So disable global email would be the safest option
