Dependent membership / subscription

Is it possible to set up a secondary membership / subscription that is dependent on a member already having an active membership?

I'm wanting to have an add on option, so that people can subscribe then add options to their membership.

Hello

You need to have clever setup to handle it using Joomla ! ACL. Basically:

1. Configure the original plan to assign subscribers of that plan to certain Joomla user group you want, like Subscribers

2. Create a new access level called Subscribers, only choose Subscribers user group for that access level

3. Edit the new plan, set access level of that plan to Subscribers

With that setup, when someone sign up to parent plan, they will have Subscribers access level and can see the child/Dependent plan to sign up. Other users who don't sign up to the parent plan won't see the child plan and could not sign up
