Upgrade from Joomla 2.5 version was created by Bob Ward

I have a client who is finally ready to upgrade from Joomla 2.5. He has JoomDonations installed. I looked at the info on purchase and it suggests that there is nothing special about updating. However I know this is not always true when a major update on Joomla happens.

Does anyone have suggestions regarding this? I have done migrations from Joomla 2 to Joomla 3 before so I know the basics. But some extensions have a procedure to insure that things go well e.g. JomSocial.

He also has OS Membership. If you have experience or ideas about migrating this from Joomla 2 to 3, please add them.

Hi Steve

After migrating database from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3, all you need to do is installing latest version of the extension to your site and it will work well

We have the site running now and the admin is not getting messages consistently for renewals or subscriptions. In Membership Pro, they show as subscribed with the right dates and plan.

The admin email was correct. I did change one setting tonight and perhaps that will help. I added categories for email.

Is there a tutorial for exporting subscriptions?

Could you please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site, and tell us what I need to do to see the errors myself?

I will then check your setting to see what's wrong and get it sorted

Please don't send your site information on a public forum like that. Please access to www.joomdonation.com/support-tickets.html , submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site

Also, let us know what we need to do to see the errors like you said. Please note that in order to getting the email on renewal, you will need to make payment for the renewal. If you don't make payment, the system won't send email

Also, please access to Membership Pro -> Emails & Messages, look at Renewal Messages tab, check and make sure all messages in that tab are properly configured
