Yes. You can import group members, the same with normal subscribers. The only difference is that you need to add a new column called group_admin_id
It needs to be ID of user account of admin of that group. (It's Joomla User ID, not subscription record ID)
Please try that (maybe try with one group member first) to see whether it works as you want
