Override the select fields? was created by Philip Walton
Hi we're trying to build our form without labels and just use placeholders.
Is there any way to override the "Select" default?
I tried adding our placeholder as a value and then adding it as a devfault value and that sort of works but "Select" is still in the list.
Given the fact all the other fields have placeholder config, this would be a welcome addition to custom fields. As well as an option to configure the labels from the admin.

Hi Philip
Unfortunately, it's not supported at the moment. The text select is used for every select field at the moment
Maybe we can intro a new setting to allow entering that value for each field instead. Will support it in next release

Thanks Tuan for speedy reply.
Sorry not responded sooner.
I think this would be great addition as it makes all fields consistent then. At the moment the Select field is out on it's own and can't be managed in same way as others...
We're looking forward to the next release.

Just want to update that it's now supported in version 2.6.1. Edit the custom field, set Prompt Text parameter to the text you want and it will work as expected

Yes Philip. A small improvement to make it more flexible. Thanks for your suggestion
