Hello

Apologies if this is a user error - I'm new to using this component.

I am using an import template to upload users - I have downloaded the template from the site, added a test user and imported this. The subscriber is created ok. And the status us set to Active. However a new joomla user account isn't being created automatically.

What could be the cause of this?

Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul

Check and make sure you have valid data for the two columns below

username
email

Maybe you can send submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and the csv file you are using to import. We are going to check to see what's wrong with your data and guide you to correct it

We're getting a similar issue on a site that was where Joomla was updated from 3.8.13 to 3.9.0.

We checked it last night on a customer website and it's still working well. So maybe it causes by something else

If you have this issue, better submit a support ticket sending us:

1. Super admin account
2. The file which contains subscription data you want to import (maybe you just need to give us few records for testing)

We will then check to see what's wrong and get it sorted

It is working for me now actually. I misunderstood how it worked as I was leaving the username field blank - I thought the joomla account would be created based on the email field being filled in.

When i copy the email to the username field and import, the subscriber is created and the joomla account is also created.

So I don't believe i have an issue any longer.

However, it would be great if you didn't need to copy the data across (from the email field) into the username column, for a joomla account to be created.

Otherwise, everything seems to be working ok.

Many thanks
Paul

Hi Paul

I improved the import code abit to handle this case. So you can:

1. Access to My Downloads menu item, download latest package, upgrade it to your site

2. Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, make sure you set the two config options below to Yes:

- Registration Integration
- Use email as username

Then you don't need username column anymore. The system will use email as username during import
