Update from 1.6.2 to latest Version for beeing compatible for PHP 7.2

Hello! we once purchased membership pro 1.6.2. Our site was running on PHP 5.6.
Now we must change to PHP 7.2.
Our questions:
From which version on is membership pro compatible with PHP 7.2?
And how do we update without loosing our data?

I don't remember what version the extension compatible with PHP 7.2. So better, upgrade to latest version

Upgrade will kept all existing data, so don't worry. Of course, to be safe, you should make a full backup of your site, so in case something goes wrong, you can roll back to earlier state
