Hi

I've set up a "Date of Birth" field in the registration and I'd like to be able to email the voucher automatically to each member on their birthday.

Is this possible with Membership Pro? If so, what do I need to do to set it up?

By the way, I've tried using the search field in the product documentation but it's not working. I'm using Chrome browser.

Regards, David

Hi David

Unfortunately, we don't support this feature. If you need this feature, a custom plugin need to be developed:

1. Generate a coupon code for that member

2. Email the coupon code to him

For this, I think it will cost you 50$ for the development if you hire someone to do it for you

Regards,

Tuan

Hi
We are a not-for-profit organisation so would not be able to cover the cost of development of such a plug-in.
I'll have to find an alternative method.
This is sad because I really like your Membership Pro.

This isn’t something Membership Pro supports natively, so your frustration makes sense, birthday-based automation usually sits outside the core membership features.

The most reliable way to handle this is to treat it as a scheduled automation task rather than a Membership Pro feature. Since you already collect “Date of Birth,” you can set up a daily cron job (or use an automation tool like Make/Zapier if your stack allows it) that checks for members whose birthday matches the current date. When a match is found, the system can automatically generate a unique coupon code and send it via email. This is the most common “no-plugin” approach and tends to be stable once set up.

If you prefer something less technical, you could also run a weekly or monthly export of upcoming birthdays and send targeted emails through your mailing platform using segments or tags. It’s not fully automatic, but it reduces ongoing effort.

If you’re also thinking about engaging members beyond discounts, platforms like Wowzers can help on the community side of things. It’s more focused on organizing and managing real-world parties and events, which can complement birthday offers nicely if you ever decide to turn vouchers into actual celebrations, just click here .

For the Chrome issue, try Incognito mode or disabling extensions, especially ad blockers as they often interfere with documentation search scripts.
