VAT ID always showing... Also if it must be hidden (conditional custom field) was created by Vincenzo
Hi Dear,
I found this bug.
Since I'm in Italy, I have to differentiate from private user (with TAX ID) and business owner or professionals (with VAT ID).
So, I created a Field that asks:
"Pivate or business?"
Based on this field, there are two other fields that should be appear only if user choose "business"
(these fields are: "Organization" and "VAT ID")
Now...
1.
If I choose to NOT check the VAT ID for EU Customers (in Configuration > EU VAT Number Field > No selection)
then it works correctly.
BUT
2.
If I choos TO CHECK the VAT ID (in Configuration > EU VAT Number Field > "Partita IVA" - that is VAT ID in Italy)
then...
The custom fields "Partita IVA" isn't hidden and private customers cannot proceed.
--
I can go with solution 1 "hoping" that nobody insert wrong data (wrong VAT ID) but it would be nice to have this system works.
Any solution about this?

Hello Vincenzo
Unfortunately, if you use solution 2, you will have to follow how the system is programmed to support EU VAT Number. Means:
- The field Partita IVA will always be shown
- If someone is business, they can enter a VAT Number (the system will check and make sure it's valid). If someone is personal, just leave the Partita IVA field empty
