Advice on Setup With Community Builder was created by Stuckshutter
We use Community Builder (CB) to create user accounts and maintain their profiles on our website currently.

We do extensive custom processing once the user signs up through Community Builder now so we must have the registration process managed by CB, not Joomla. Using Joomla's registration will not work for our process requirements.

My question is how to set up MembershipPro (MP) to do two things for us:
  1. How to take payment through MP, on successful payment, send the person to CB to create their profile and create the Joomla account using CB?
  2. If that process flow will not work, how can we create an account for managing subscription payments in MP, upon successful payment, send the person to a link where they can create their CB profile, and use MP to manage the Joomla User Group of the user?

Thanks in advance for your help and thanks for resolving the recurring subscription issue.... we're working on getting this going now that that issue has been resolved.

Hi Chris

I haven't used CB for long time. However, I think CB has a page to allow users to update his profile data and you have URL of that page?

If so, maybe you can try:

- Edit the plan, there is a parameter called Subscription Complete URL, enter URL of the CB edit profile page which we mentioned above
- Go to Membership pro -> Configuration, set Auto Login config option to Yes

By doing that, when users sign up, they will be logged in automatically and being redirected to CB edit profile page to update CB data

Not sure if that works for your need?
